Science that looks accessible without losing its authority.
NeuroGASTRO is the biennial conference of the European Society of Neurogastroenterology and Motility - with presentations across up to four rooms simultaneously, plus ticketing, abstract submission, speakers and newsletter. Everything needed to converge in one place without overwhelming the visitor.
The programme is organised by tabs according to rooms and times, so each attendee can find their own way through the days. The design softens the formality of the subject matter: a welcoming colour palette combined with a mix of serif and sans-serif typefaces that feels serious without being forbidding.
The real difference showed during the conference itself. While printed programmes were out of date the moment they were produced, the website remained the reliable source - updates were live within minutes, managed on-site by the partner agency simultaneously running the social media channels.
Built with Contao, extended with bespoke content elements for the programme. The same platform had already powered the 2023 conference.
Colours and typography are designed to balance accessibility with scientific credibility.
